Jonas Ib F. H. Jensen har i fotoserien Tingenes desorpsjon utforsket en ny type relasjon mellom tingene i verden og mennesket. Begrepet desorpsjon beskriver en forstyrrelse i relasjonen mellom mennesket og tingene som fremstår som en grunnleggende metafysisk rystelse. Denne metafysiske rystelsen er en tilstand som blir iscenesatt og fotografert med en stereografisk teknikk som forsterker følelsen av ubalanse og bevegelse i bildene. Tingenes desorpsjon fremstår som en lek med filosofiske spekulasjoner i et pseudovitenskaplig format som rommer både humor og dypt alvor.
In the photo series “The desorption of things” it is explored a new kind of relationship between things in the world and man. The term “desorption” describes a displacement in the relationship between humans and things that are perceived as a fundamental metaphysical quake. This metaphysical quake is a condition that is invented, staged and photographed with a stereo-photographic technique that amplifies the sense of imbalance and motion in the images. “Desorption” turn out as a game with philosophical speculation in a pseudo-scientific format that can accommodate both humor and be deeply serious.
